It has been a long, strange road for Seattle Seahaks quarterback Brady Quinn, but if Friday night's performance is any indication he might finally be coming into his own as an NFL player. @hoopgifs/Twitter Quinn was 5-8 against the Packers for 89 yards and a touchdown (and a beauty of a TD pass at that). After not getting much of a look in the second preseason game (3-4, 13 yards) fans have to be glad to see him step up in the third contest. He did well in the preseason opener as well (6-11, 59 yards and one touchdown). Not bad, right? It is only preseason, but after watching him flounder in Cleveland and Kansas City and sitting in Denver the Fighting Irish Faithful have to be glad to see one of their favorite sons in action again. He may not be lining up for a starter's job, but there are a lot of jobs that suck a whole lot more than being a back-up QB on a team that many consider a Super Bowl contender. The only problem now is his competition, Tavaris Jackson, who has also looked good in preseason action. For the Seahawks it would not be bad to have two decent back-ups, but it would also not be surprising to see one of the two get dangled as trade bait.

A running back named Christine could be taking over the league soon

When you hear the name Christine you automatically think of a female, but believe me Christine Michael is far from a girl. A native of Beaumont, Texas, Michael attended West Brook Senior High School in Beaumont, and played high school football for the West Brook Bruins. He rushed for 3,927 yards on 501 carries. His […]

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson may have lost the battle in Green Bay but Seattle won the war to move to 3-0 in the preseason.

Russell Wilson had a rough time of it against the Green Bay Packers. It wasn’t the typical Wilson performance and for Seahawks fans, at least he got it out of the way before the regular season gets started. Wilson was under pressure and he threw 2 interceptions in the game. He was also sacked 3 times and it was clear the the Packers were focused in on stopping Wilson from having...

Seahawks’ rookie Christine Michael continues to impress

Seahawks running back Christine Michael certainly hasn’t let anyone down this preseason. Michael put together another good game on Friday night by racking up 97 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown. Michael is up to 27 preseason carries for 186 yards (6.89 YPC) with the one catch. The second-round pick needs to clean up his pass pro, but there is no question he’s a more skilled...

What can we expect from Russell Wilson & his Seahawks when they face off against Green Bay?

When Russell Wilson takes to the field tonight at Lambeau Field, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, he will face his toughest test of the preseason. The Packers defense is going to try to shut down Wilson and his high-powered Seattle offense. The guy couldn’t be stopped in his first two preseason games, and I don’t think the Packers realize just how good this Seahawks team is coming into...

Golden Tate shirt trolls the Packers

We all know what happened when the Seattle Seahawks controversially “beat” the Green Bay Packers at home in week three last season, but who knows how things will play out when the Packers host the Seahawks in tonight’s preseason game?  I’m sure the reception won’t be too warm for Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate, who made the controversial simultaneous catch to beat...

Christine Michael Stands Out vs. Packers

Another nice showing from Seahawks rookie backup running back Christine Michael. He rushed 11 times for 97 yards against Green Bay on Friday night.Fantasy Spin:Unless Marshawn Lynch gets hurt or has more legal issues, Michael shouldn't have much fantasy value this season, but keeper league owners should keep an eye on him as he looks like a better option/handcuff than Robert...

Seahawks' Tony McDaniel to get first opportunity to impress in-game

The Seattle Seahawks will get their first look at DT Tony McDaniel this Friday against the Green Bay Packers, according to Eric D. Williams of the News Tribune. McDaniel was acquired by Seattle this offseason as a free agent and was expected to provide an immediate boost to the Seahawks defensive line and possibly even push for a starting job. However, McDaniel suffered a groin...

2013 Seattle Seahawks Preview

In 2012, the Seattle Seahawks surprised many people. It started back in the summer when head coach Pete Carroll named third round pick, Russell Wilson, the team's starting quarterback. Then it extended into the season after they started a mediocre 4-4. The Seahawks went on to win seven of their final eight games, scoring an averageof 34 points per game in that stretch. Even...

Seahawks, Packers get defensive

Mired by mistakes, the Seattle Seahawks still slogged out a win at Lambeau Field. After steamrolling over their first two preseason opponents, the Seahawks nearly tripped themselves up in a 17-10 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Friday night. All the pushing and shoving, and the penalties -- 14 for Seattle, and 22 for both teams -- in part overshadowed Seattle's victory...

Seahawks 17, Packers 10

The Seattle Seahawks' offensive juggernaut hit a speed bump at Lambeau Field. The Green Bay Packers weren't exactly lighting up the scoreboard, either. Christine Michael ran for 97 yards on 11 carries and Stephen Williams snatched a ball away from cornerback Loyce Means in the end zone for a 42-yard touchdown catch and the go-ahead score in the Seahawks' 17-10 preseason...

Russell Wilson or Colin Kaepernick? The ongoing debate

Which QB Will Be Remembered? “Heroes are remembered, but legends never die.” This is the classic quote from The Babe in the movie The Sandlot. It states that heroic acts can define a moment in time, but being a hero can define a person — making them legendary. The Seattle Seahawks‘ Russell Wilson and the 49ers’ Colin Kaepernick have fallen into one of the most unique situations...
