It has been a long, strange road for Seattle Seahaks quarterback Brady Quinn, but if Friday night's performance is any indication he might finally be coming into his own as an NFL player.
Quinn was 5-8 against the Packers for 89 yards and a touchdown (and a beauty of a TD pass at that). After not getting much of a look in the second preseason game (3-4, 13 yards) fans have to be glad to see him step up in the third contest. He did well in the preseason opener as well (6-11, 59 yards and one touchdown).
Not bad, right? It is only preseason, but after watching him flounder in Cleveland and Kansas City and sitting in Denver the Fighting Irish Faithful have to be glad to see one of their favorite sons in action again.
He may not be lining up for a starter's job, but there are a lot of jobs that suck a whole lot more than being a back-up QB on a team that many consider a Super Bowl contender.
