New St. Louis Rams wide receiver Brandon Lloyd had a soliddebut in a Rams uniform, pulling down six catches for 74 yardswhile working with backup quarterback Jay Feeley. - Photocourtesy of Getty Images The St. Louis Rams were in desperate need for a play-making wide receiver when they dealt for wide receiver Brandon Lloyd. The Rams brought Lloyd over from the Denver Broncos to provide second year quarterback Sam Bradford with a versatile outside weapon and to deepen a receiving corp that has never recovered from the injury of Danny Amendola. And even though Bradford was not there for Lloyd's debut in the Rams 34-7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, Lloyd still had a nice day receiving passes from back-up quarterback Jay Feeley. Lloyd hauled in six receptions for 74 yards, good for a 12.3 yard per reception average. Lloyd did manage to break one catch for a 34 yard gain, but did not showcase the the spectacular down field talent that he was known for while with the Broncos. But...

Week 8 Target Report: Brandon Lloyd Doesn’t Miss A Beat

Like I reported last week, the Rams were expected to make Brandon Lloyd the centerpiece of their offense after trading for him from the Broncos in exchange for picks before the trade deadline last Tuesday. That plan clearly came through Sunday against the Cowboys. Even with Sam Bradford (high ankle sprain) out, A.J. Feeley locked on to Lloyd for a team-high 12 targets, twice as many...

Sam Bradford was not at Rams practice while rehabbing from a high left ankle sprain, leaving his availability in doubt for the second straight week. Backup A.J. Feeley got his first start since 2007 in a 34-7 loss at Dallas and expects to start again this week against the Saints. Rams searching for answers after another loss

The Rams entered the season as a legitimate contender for the NFC West title, and they're winless after six games. It's no fluke, either. Despite massive spending on the offensive line and in the backfield, the Rams are averaging a measly nine points. The defense, coach Steve Spagnuolo's calling card, is the worst in the NFL by far against the rush, even without DeMarco...

Bradford has not done much work since Friday in hope that the extra rest would help heal his high left ankle sprain. "It's been a shutdown deal," Spagnuolo said. Source...
