DAVIE — The significance of 27 more rushing yards pertained mostly to Reggie Bush.
That was until it was discovered the Dolphins could accomplish another feat if Bush reaches 1,000 yards for the first time in his career. It would also make him and Brandon Marshall the only tandem in franchise history to produce 1,000 yards rushing and receiving in the same season.
Marshall surpassed the barrier last week against Buffalo.
“That’s a little shocking,” Marshall said. “But when you look at the history of the offense around here, when they had Dan Marino, I don’t think they knew what a running game was. That’s probably why he has all of those records.”
Even with the Marino years, it’s a little shocking this is the first time it could happen. The Dolphins’ dominant teams of the 1970s featured running back Larry Csonka and receiver Paul Warfield, both Hall of Famers. The closest they came was 1971 when Csonka rushed for 1,051 yards and Warfield finished with 996 receiving yards.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- Reggie Bush has gone over 1,000 yards rushing for the first time in his career.
Bush, in his first season with the Miami Dolphins after five with the New Orleans Saints, reached that milestone with an 8-yard run in the first quarter of Saturday's game against the New England Patriots. That gave him 29 yards for the game and 1,002 for the season, his...
Reggie Bush his enjoying one of the hottest stretches of his NFL career, so perhaps now is the perfect time to dip his toe in morning talk show circuit. Regis Philbin's legacy is already on shaky ground.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Reggie Bush has gone over 1,000 yards rushing for the first time in his career.
After the 2010 season ended, former Saints running back Reggie Bush decided that it was time for a change. And for good reason. Though he’s never said this publicly (as far as we know), just look at the box score from the playoff loss in Seattle. With Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory injured, Bush didn’t…
Dolphins running back Reggie Bush, Chargers linebacker Antwan Barnes and Chiefs kicker Ryan Succop have been named AFC players of the week for Week 15 of the NFL season.
Rumors are circulating everywhere suggesting that Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush could be ready to get back together and rekindle a romance he once had with celebrity reality television icon Kim Kardashian, following her 72 day sham of a marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries.
Could it possibly be, that Bush would get back together with Kardashian?
As far as...
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall and tackle Jake Long will both start Saturday against the New England Patriots, according to club sources.
Should we give Reggie Bush a tiny bit of respect this week? Just a tiny bit? The Dolphins running back took home AFC Offensive Player of the Week, and also had a pretty sweet end zone celebration to go with it.
But was his celebration better than Colton Orr’s? That’s going to be a tough one.
We’ve seen a lot of pretty nice celebrations this season. I don’t know if anything...

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots (Spread: New England -10.5)
I really like the Patriots to win this game, which should seem obvious since they destroyed Denver last week. But that win was a bit of a fluke – Denver had a ton of turnovers which ruined their otherwise well played first half...
With only a couple practices left before the final road game of the season at New England on Saturday, neither receiver Brandon Marshall nor tight end Anthony Fasano were practicing fully for the Dolphins on Wednesday.
