According to a league source, the Arizona Cardinals have signed running back Alfonso Smith.  Alfonso is a familiar face in Arizona as he played for the Cardinals for the past 2 seasons. Last season the former Kentucky Wildcat running back ran the ball 30 times for 102 yards and scored a touchdown.  With the Cardinals unsure of the status of Beanie Wells and with Ryan Williams the only real healthy back, Smith could come in right away and contribute.  He knows the system well, and the playbook so this could work out well.  Keep an eye on him in deep fantasy football leagues.

Kevin Kolb will likely remain the Cardinals starter

According to Kent Somers of the Sporting News, Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb is expected to hold on to the starting job even when John Skelton is healthy again, as long as he keeps winning.
