Planning a wedding is probably one of the most stressful things a bride will ever go through, but Meagan Cusack had no problem piling more onto her plate if it meant creating a memorable experience for her soon-to-be husband. Cusak recently decided to throw her fiance Will Sakellaris a surprise lunch that featured a guest appearance from Philadelphia Eagles legend Brian Dawkins. “It was a total surprise, first of all,” Dawkins said. “You don’t hear about this all time. This is something that I don’t even think about doing but it was brought to my attention and I just thought it was something that would be a blessing for Will to be able to see this and get that type of surprise. Obviously, for Meagan to be able to do this for her husband is a tremendous thing.” Sakellaris, who is huge fan of Dawkins and Philadelphia sports, was told he was attending a business lunch. He probably knew something was up when Cusak made him put on a blindfold, and when the blindfold was removed he was facing a group of his closest friends and a future Hall of Famer. “It was fantastic, what an honor,” Sakellaris said. “I can’t dream of a better experience, sharing it with all of my friends. It was really something to be thankful for.” Thankfully it all appeared to go smoothly, because Cusak said coordinating the Dawkins surprise may have been more difficult than planning a wedding. “I don’t know if I’ve been more nervous for the wedding or for this event because it was so hard coordinating it all and, most of all, keeping it a secret because that’s not one of my strengths,” Cusack joked. “If anything happens I can just say, ‘Remember that Brian Dawkins lunch?’ and I win.” As we saw with this 78-year-old fan last month, nothing puts a smile on a fan’s face like a surprise from their favorite player. Thanks to his thoughtful bride-to-be, Sakellaris is now living proof of that. Your browser does not support iframes.
