Yesterday it was reported that the Patriots have shown some interest in the biggest free agent on the market: speedster Mike Wallace. Even though the team is in clear need of a outside receiver given the fact it looks like Brandon Lloyd is unlikely to return, I was a bit surprised to hear the Patriots were thinking about Wallace. Danario Alexander became Philip Rivers favorite target last year How serious they are about bringing him in we don't know; but we do know Wallace is looking to command one of the biggest receiver salaries in the league. Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald type loot. If this is the case, I would prefer the Patriots not go after him, as I think they should invest the majority of the money they have available in the defense.
