New Jets safety Brodney Pool has made it clear that he wasn’t sidelined last year with concussions, it was migraines, but it was the Cleveland medical staff that didn’t want to take any chances, who ended his season early. … there are some changes Pool has made since last season ended prematurely. Doctors told him to eat more, sleep more and stay away from citrus to decrease the chances of getting another migraine. Pool, who called himself a "night owl," now goes to bed at 11:30 p.m. instead of 2:30 a.m. He went from eating three meals a day to eating six meals a day. And though he loves fruit, he said, he "doesn’t mess with oranges" anymore. "Migraines are much worse than any hit I have ever taken in football and any injury I have ever had," Pool said. "They are 10 times worse so I want to do anything I can to avoid them." The early nights keep him from playing video games and he doesn’t like eating when he isn’t hungry, but...
