The tally of mistakes included three sacks, some quarterback hits and hurries and a handful of missed assignments. But the Broncos also got some strong, physical play, the offense moved crisply behind a fairly well protected Kyle Orton and only one of the team's 25 rushes resulted in negative yardage.
"I thought they played tough," Coach Josh McDaniels said Monday at a news conference, the day after the Broncos lost to the Jaguars 24-17.
"They didn't always do the right thing -- I think we figured that would be the case on a handful of plays where they (the Jaguars) gave us some funky looks that we haven't seen or practiced against. But that's part of the game and they're going to have to adjust to those quicker as we go forward. All in all, not terrib...
