During the offseason teams try and bond to create more of a chemistry to help them during game time. Peyton Manning and a bunch of other Broncos went to Coors Field to watch the Rockies take on the Yankees. The night before a bunch of Manning’s teammates including wide out Eric Decker got together to pull a prank on right tackle Orlando Franklin. The whole thing was set up to have Decker shove a shave cream pie in the face of Franklin while he was doing a live TV interview. “I think a lot of guys are going to jump at that opportunity. So we’ve just got to plan something out real good for him and get him when it counts. I wasn’t really paying attention to it. That was stupid on my behalf, but like I said I’m looking forward to getting those guys back.” Franklin said to the reporter. Franklin tweeted afterward that Manning should watch is back since he wrote “revenge will be mine.” He also put a picture of himself after Decker hit him in the face with the pie. Earlier today Eric Decker was on the NFL Network and told them how they were able to get Orlando. It was Orlando’s first baseball game Franklin and that they wanted to “welcome” him to the sport by smashing the pie in his face. For those who are fans on Major League Baseball players know this already, but when teammates are interviewed on TV after starring in a victory they get the shaving cream pie in the face. Manning was able to get Decker on another prank earlier this year. Decker was led to believe that he would owe $3,000 to Duke University for working out at the facility. After staring at the bill for a while Decker realized he was a victim of a Peyton Manning prank.  Just like Franklin, Decker vows to get revenge on his quarterback. “There’s some stuff in the works. I got some intel from some people on his side,” Decker said. For Franklin he took it all in stride. “Well, he’s pretty much gotten everybody on the offense,” Franklin said. “So I was one of those guys it was bound to happen sooner or later. I’m glad that we got it out of the way.” According the team Manning loves to mess around with people’s cell phones by switching the display to another language. Broncos’ tight end, Joel Dreessen caught Manning red handed one time. “I actually caught him in the middle of it. I was in the shower and I get back to my locker and he was standing at my locker with a towel. I was like, ‘What the heck is he doing?’ He was trying to change the language on my iPhone.” Joel is also trying to get Manning back. “I tried to get him back. He was charging his iPad at my locker, so I set a dog barking alarm to go off at like 2 in the morning,” said Dreessen. “I got home that night and I was like, ‘Man, he’s got twin babies and I don’t want to wake his wife up.’ So I totally chickened out and I texted him that night, ‘Hey, I set your iPad to go off at 2 in the morning. Turn it off.’ He’s like, ‘Actually, I didn’t bring it home,’” Dreessen said. So the moral to this story is that you should always look out for Peyton Manning if you are his teammate. It seems he is always plotting something. I am waiting for the day to see when his teammates get their revenge.
