The Broncos notified the agents of restricted free agents Britton Colquitt, Chris Clark and Lance Ball that they will be tendered contracts Tuesday, Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports.
Colquitt, one of the NFL's top punters, would receive a second-round tender that would pay him $2.023 million in salary for the 2013 season or a "right of first refusal" tender that would pay him $1.323 million.
The gamble with the "right of refusal" tender is that other teams might be more willing to bid on Colquitt knowing they don't have to surrender a second-round draft pick. The Broncos, though, would have the right to match any contract offer from another team.
Clark, a backup offensive tackle who often plays as a third tight end in the Broncos' "power" running packages, and Ball, a backup running back, have been told they would receive "right of first refusal" tenders of $1.323 million, those salaries, though, aren't guaranteed so the players would still have to make the team.

The End of Doom and Gloom?
Elvis Dumervil is one half, not the better half, mind you, of ‘Doom and Gloom’, the Denver Broncos made up of Dumervil and All Pro Von Miller.
