Tim Tebow will take snaps at quarterback Sunday when the Denver Broncos face the Green Bay Packers, the Denver Post reported.
According to the report, Tebow is expected to be used behind center in the red zone and in short-yardage situations where the Broncos may take advantage of his running ability.
A 2010 first-round pick, Tebow was thought to be the quarterback of the future for the Broncos, who are rebuilding with new management and a new coach. But the Heisman Trophy winner was clearly beaten for the starting job by Kyle Orton after the Broncos were unsuccessful in trading the veteran.
Tebow has yet to take a snap from center in a game this season. Last year, he started the final three games in place of an injured Orton.
The Broncos are 28th in the NFL in rushing while the Packers lead the league in run defense.
