Not many players ever make it from the NFL’s supplemental draft since its inception in 1977, but 49ers outside linebacker Ahmad Brooks is one of the rare breed. While the summer draft rarely produces impact performers – much less players who even make rosters – there are some notable exceptions, and there’s no doubt about the player at the top of the pecking order.
