As the Cleveland Browns get ready to start camp head coach Rob Chudzinski is impressed with the teams defensive line. With the team switching to the 3-4 over this off-season, we have to wonder if we are going to see the defensive line have the same impact they had in 2012. Last season the d-line gave the fans plenty to be proud of, they had 29 takeaways, which tied for the ninth-most in the NFL, and the defensive line accounted for nearly half of those turnovers. The Steelers game was one where the d-line made a huge difference in . They forced eight turnovers. 3 guys that played great in 2012 were Ahtyba Rubin, Billy Winn and John Hughes. With the team moving to the 3-4 you have to wonder if these guys will have the same kind of impact in 2013. The team has enough depth on the d-line that they can keep these guys fresh throughout the game. Winn was very impressive in his rookie year. The guy was all over the field and he contributed a lot to the Browns over-all defense. While the t...

Training camp is just around the corner. Over the next couple of weeks we’ll take a look at some of the bigger storylines facing the Browns as they start preseason… As an old offensive and defensive linemen, I would love to say that the biggest story of camp is who grabs the guard spots. Or maybe the defensive line rotation. But I’d be fooling myself. The biggest question...

In just 10 short days from now, the Cleveland Browns will officially open Training Camp 2013. G John Greco ‘is a player to watch,’ leads pack for final starting position

The new offensive system also known as the ‘Coryell offense’ employed by new coach Rob Chudzinski and offensive coordinator Norv Turner requires the guards to be mobile and have the ability to operate in space. The west coast system used in 2012 by former Browns coach Pat Shurmur the past two seasons didn’t utilize as much movement from the linemen, so the guards who can...
