I'm told it's false that #Browns will interview former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel, per a report on Akron Fox Sports' 1350 AM — Mary Kay Cabot (@MaryKayCabot) January 3, 2014 Tressel was not considered a serious candidate and an interview by the Browns front office would have simply been to appease those fans who are also backers of Ohio State and have a high opinion of Tressel. Currently Tressel is serving as an executive vice president at the University of Akron. He has not coached since resigning from Ohio State in 2010 following NCAA violations. His only NFL experience came in 2011 when the Colts added him as a consultant.
