It's been about three weeks since Tony Romo said on local radio that Dez Bryant had done a "180" in terms of his preparation for games. Those words seemed pretty hollow in light of the fact that Bryant had never been the picture of consistency during his first three years in the league. But it turns out Tony may have been onto something. Bryant, who has made as many headlines off the field as on, is in the midst of the best stretch of his career. He basically took over the game in the second half of Sunday's 38-33 win over the Eagles. And while it's important to factor in the pitiful state of the Eagles secondary, it was still impressive to watch Bryant overwhelm defenders with precise routes and a punishing style. Head coach Jason Garrett was most impressed that Bryant went "north and south" instead of trying to dance for yardage. On his 23-yard touchdown, he caught the ball across the middle and then used his speed to dart into the end zone. And...

Jerry Jones: Cowboys should be better on D

Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan has said several times that the abundance of injuries on defense are not an excuse for poor play. It's probably in his best interest to continue saying that because his boss doesn't seem to think injuries should prevent Ryan's group from playing well, which they didn't do Sunday night. The Cowboys, who held on for a 38-33 victory...

Cowboys C Costa goes on IR

The Dallas Cowboys placed center Phil Costa on injured reserve Wednesday. Costa has missed six games with a dislocated ankle suffered Oct. 21 against Carolina. He also dealt with a back injury during training camp that caused him to leave the Cowboys' season opener after one series. In Costa's place, the Cowboys have turned to center Ryan Cook, who played last week against...

Context tells us if all of this money that our paycheck contains is actually surplus, or whether it has been earmarked for other purposes already. Context tells us if losing 5 pounds is either the destination or the start of the...

The Dallas Cowboys Number One Priority In The 2013 NFL Draft Should Be To Bolster Their Running Game

The Cowboys stand at 6-6 with four tough games (Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, New Orleans and Washington) remaining.  Another season left out of even making the playoffs is highly likely.  One of the primary reasons for the disappointing season is a pedestrian ground game.  It is trendy to say the NFL is all about passing, but a balanced offense and a stingy defense still results...
