Power Rankings: Is Mike Glennon the worst starting QB in the NFL right now?

With each passing year, no pun intended, the National Football League becomes more and more of a quarterback-driven league. The day and age of teams running the football 40 times per game are a thing of the past, replaced by an era in which quarterbacks throwing 50 passes across four quarters of play is commonplace. Thus, having the right guy under center is more important now than...

Team Needs: Tampa Bay Buccaneers look solid at RB for 2014

Finding a bright spot in the 2013 4-12 Tampa Bay Buccaneers season isn’t easy. One unit that looks to be well set for the future is the offensive backfield. Albeit, it took unfortunate circumstances for the depth of the position to reveal itself. A spectacular rookie campaign was followed by a less than stellar sophomore effort by Doug Martin. The running back made it to week...

Buccaneers sign QB Mike Kafka

Mike Kafka has played four games in his four-year career, and he's thrown a total of 16 passes (with two interceptions!). He started off with the Eagles, and since then, he's seen time (though no actual playing time) with the Patriots and Jaguars, and though he worked out with the Cowboys earlier this month, he's actually got a new gig in Florida. That's because...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 5 Free Agents They Should Target

The clock is ticking. Lovie Smith is in control. Everything in southwest Florida appears to be on the mend.Buccaneers fans can all beathe a sigh of relief. Bucs' Mike Williams pleading not guilty to charges

After news broke on charges that Bucs wide receiver Mike Williams was facing, it was unclear what the details of those charges were. On Tuesday, Tampa Tribune’s Roy Cummings first reported information on the charges in which TheBayCave.com has confirmed.  Court documents show Williams caused...

Buccaneers Likely To Add A Veteran QB To Compete With Mike Glennon?

Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune expects the Buccaneers to bring in a veteran quarterback to compete with incumbent starter Mike Glennon, as opposed to addressing the position in the draft. The basis for Cummings’ expectation stems from the team’s likely desire to mix a veteran into the position since both quarterbacks currently under contract with the Bucs each have less than...

Seahawks comparisons overlook 2002 Buccaneers

From the moment the Seahawks trounced the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII, the comparisons to past defensive juggernauts began. And one of the best defenses in the NFL has been largely overlooked in the process: The 2002 Buccaneers. The latest example came as ESPN’s The Sports Reporters went to break, with host John Saunders saying, “Seattle’s defense put on a devastating show...

Bucs should be favorites to land Sammy Watkins

Here at TBC, mock drafts are looked at for entertainment values. While some get questioned on their theories others are viewed as “reasonable.” But what they all do is drive people nuts since they are changed so often.  That is why you won’t find any mocks on TBC until after the combine and free agency because that is when it makes more sense on the direction a team will go...

Bucs' secondary improved in 2013, but have talent to do more

TAMPA, Fla. -- The secondary was good, but it could be better. Last season, there were some decent developments among the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' safeties and cornerbacks. Certainly, the group was an improvement over the one that allowed a league-worst 297 yards passing per game in 2012, and it's not difficult to find the reasons why. The additions of Darrelle Revis and Dashon...
