Tampa Bay Buccaneers veteran Ronde Barber likes what he sees out of new coach Greg Schiano.
Barber, who will enter his 16th season with the Buccaneers, told the Tampa Tribune that he has seen things run a little more smoothly under Schiano's watch.
"I got together with (general manager) Mark (Dominik) and Greg - or coach Schiano I should say - and we had a conversation," Barber told the newspaper.
"They have a very direct purpose. The ship's a little bit tighter than it was last year, but that's a good thing. We needed direction. We have a bunch of young men that need guidance and (Schiano) is giving it to them. He's very direct about it and I think that's the way it should be. I like the approach and I think it'll work well for us."
After guiding Tampa Bay to an impressive 10-6 mark in 2010, Raheem Morris saw the Buccaneers drop their last 10 games of the 2011 season to plummet into the basement in the NFC South. Morris was fired on Jan. 2.
