The Bay Cave:
Well here is something we didn’t expect to hear on the Darrelle Revis trade rumors. After all the reports, all the speculation, the Buccaneers are not even sure if they want Revis. According to Tampa Tribune’s Roy Cummings while talking to 98.7 The Fan’s Justin Pawlowski during an on-air interview, that’s what apparently is going on inside the Bucs. They have not decided on even if they want to trade for the player (Darrelle Revis). I think they have in mind what they want to give up and I know for a face it does not include the 13th overall pick because if it did this deal would be done. Now that may mean several things. Perhaps they were highly interested in the trade at the beginning but the desire to acquire Revis has died down since talks have dragged on. Cummings also added that the media has blown up these talks from the start. Now we have reports from both sides —the Jets and the Bucs— that they are unsure whether they want to trade or trade for Revis. The uncertainty lies within each team’s willingness on what to offer or what to accept. At the end of the day, I feel both teams do want to work something out. We have seen the Buccaneers stand their ground up to this point and the Jets sit back and wait for a better offer, whatever that offer may be. And until one team breaks down, the deal isn’t getting done. I’ve said it before like (on Twitter the first night of free agency to be exact) like Cummings stated above, if the deal included a first round pick, it would have been done. But the fact that both sides are at an impasse proves that the offer to the Jets is not to their liking. And if it did include a first round pick, then the Jets are —well, I’ll leave that up to you to determine. The post Bucs don’t even know if they want Darrelle Revis appeared first on The Bay Cave.
