The Buffalo Bills have released veteran cornerback Drayton Florence, who became the odd-man out in what's become a crowded defensive backfield. Florence is a nine-year NFL player, who spent the past three seasons in Buffalo where he started 45 of 46 games. He had two years left on his contact, and scheduled to make a base salary of $4 million this season. His release on Friday comes a week after the Bills opened the NFL draft by selecting South Carolina cornerback Stephon Gilmore with the 10th pick. Gilmore is expected to step in and immediately compete for a starting job. Florence took the news in stride in a message posted on his Twitter account. Florence wrote ''Business is business,'' and thanked his fans for their support.

Buffalo Bills: Camp battles looming at defensive tackle

With the off-season acquisitions of Defensive Ends Mario Williams and Mark Anderson and the switch back to the 4-3 defense, the Buffalo Bills are the deepest they have been in years on the defensive line.  In fact the team is currently carrying 17 defensive lineman going into camp and will likely cut that number down

Not a fan of cutting Drayton Florence

Yes, I get it. Drayton Florence got burned a lot last year. I'm talking Freddy Kruggar burnt. I know some fans have never been able to get over his "It's a business" or he's a "business man" comments while others liked him because he Tweeted about the Bills Mafia. I don't care either way. Yes, he was a walking pass interference cornerback who...

Vince Young left Buffalo without a deal

Free agent quarterback Vince Young’s try out with the Buffalo Bills came and went yesterday with out him signing a contract.  He’s now reportedly left Buffalo and there haven’t been any indications as to whether he’ll sign with the Bills, but I’d say it’s unlikely right now. It seems like the Bills are looking for some competition for their back up quarterback job going...

Buffalo Bills third round pick and the ACC's all-time leader in kick returns, wide receiver T.J.
