The Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey era in Buffalo seems to have run its course.
Reports are that both will be let go within the next week.
Bills sources indicated the decision on the team's top two football men lies with owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr. and that Wilson had yet to make a decision on any of his employees.
The common thought is that Gailey is a sure thing to get fired but Nix could survive the ax.
However the dismissal of Nix would be a mild shock. He has a solid relationship with Wilson, he handed Nix a long-term building job when he put him in charge of the football operation in 2010 according to Mark Gaughan of buffalonews.com.
The Bills seemed to be heading in the right direction with a 5-3 start in 2011, but a sub par second half along with another poor season in 2012 are prompting changes again.
