Inside the Bills:
Arizona St. LB Vontaze Burfict has been much maligned with a reputation of being a hot-head on the field drawing a number of personal foul penalties and getting benched twice in his career for acting out on the field. In an effort to help him control his emotions more effectively he’s working with a veteran Bills LB leading up to the draft.
“I’ve been working with a guy named Nick Barnett who’s with my agency,” said Burfict. ”He and I have been working on things I can do in the locker room and off the field because this is a business now and there are things you cannot do in business.”
Barnett has offered advice and worked with Burfict in the film room concerning the linebacker position. We hope to bring you more on this story on Buffalobills.com soon.

Arizona State QB Brock Osweiler confirmed that he met with the Bills last night among other teams here in Indianapolis.
Osweiler has outstanding physical attributes and at 6’6″ and 240 pounds he has prototype size. The drawback is the Arizona State product is very much a work in progress. Osweiler...
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- The Buffalo Bills made progress in their bid to re-sign Stevie Johnson before the receiver is eligible to become a free agent next month.
Speaking in front of assembled reporters Saturday at the Combine, Mercilus revealed that the Buffalo Bills have “showed interest … a lot of interest” in last year’s NCAA sacks leader, according to Joe Buscaglia of WGR 550. Mercilus also named the Chargers and Bears as teams with which he’s been in touch. In addition to…
Stevie Johnson spoke at halftime of the Kentucky-Vanderbilt game in Lexington Saturday afternoon and sounded optimistic about a deal getting done allowing him to re-sign with the Bills.
“Progress was made,” Johnson told FOXSports.com of the meetings in Indianapolis conversations. “Hopefully, everything comes together within a week or so.”
That timetable would have a deal...
There’s a common thought among outside observers that an NFL club might lean toward taking a prospect that had on field chemistry with a player already on their roster from their college days together at the same school. As far as the Bills are concerned it’s not much of a factor in draft decisions.
Some Bills fans have proposed that because Marcell Dareus and DL/OLB Courtney...
