Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis missed practice Wednesday and will sit out again Thursday due to a calf strain.
Lewis told the team's official website that he will run Friday to test the calf and gauge his ability to play in Sunday's game at the New York Jets.
He had two receptions for 28 yards in last week's 16-14 win over the Tennessee Titans.
Lewis had a breakout season in 2010 with a career-high 58 receptions and 10 touchdown catches.
