On Sunday, wide receiver Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions let everyone know why he got his nickname Megatron. The Lions lost to the Cincinnati Bengals 27-24 but their star wide receiver put in some work for the team. Johnson’s biggest catch of the game came in the fourth quarter on 3rd-and-18 which then tied the game 24-24.  The catch was a 50 yard touchdown as quarterback Matthew Stafford threw the ball to Johnson who had three Bengal defenders covering him in the end zone.  It was a remarkable catch and he was able to get the ball even with all three men surrounding him. The Lions went on Twitter to comment on the catch stating, “This…is sick.  #MEGATRON” Stafford later commented on the catch made by Johnson stating, “I held it as long as I could.  I didn’t get to see a whole lot of it.  I saw the very end of it and it was one of the best catches I have ever seen.” Johnson has an impressive game on Sunday.  He caught nine passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns. There was some speculation whether his usage to the team was certain even though he did have a full practice week.  Yet, he dominated the field and the Bengals defensive backs. Johnson recorded his 35th career 100-yard receiving game this past Sunday to set a franchise record. The Detroit Lions play the Dallas Cowboys Week eight.
