Picture Not too long ago Mowry wrote about the selection for the Madden 2013 cover being down to the final two, Calvin "Megatron" Johnson and Cam Newton. Official word from EA is that Johnson will be the one to don the cover, edging out Newton. Some people are already claiming that Johnson will fall victim to the "Madden Curse" but I don't believe in curses. I do believe in players having bad years from time to time but Johnson is a monster, so I don't think he'll have to worry about that.

Regardless of any curse that might be associated with Madden I would still want to be on the cover. Your face will be on a video game that's purchased by millions of people every year, why wouldn't you want that? I still remember when Eddie George was on the cover and I'm pretty sure that's the only reason I even remember who Eddie George is. Sure some will say he fell victim to the "Madden Curse" but at least he got some notoriety before his career started falling apart.

TL;DR Calvin Johnson will be on the Madden 2013 cover while people are debating whether he'll fall victim to the "Madden Curse."
