The Baltimore Ravens made a decision to fire offensive coordinator Cam Cameron in December. That decision has proved to be a good one, as the Ravens stand one win away from winning the Super Bowl.Ironically, Cameron agrees."It was a brilliant move," Cameron said Wednesday. "Everyone on the team took a look in the mirror after that."Added Cameron: "People were numb because they think you should run and hide. They think you're embarrassed. I've got nothing to be embarrassed about."Cameron went on with business as usual the day he was fired. He attended his son's high school basketball game later in the evening and received stares of pity when he walked into the gym. However, Cameron seems to be taking the high road in response to his firing.Baltimore has averaged 406.2 yards per game since new offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell took over for Cameron. This includes nearly 425 yards per game during their improbable playoff run.Maybe Cameron is just playing nice, or maybe he is just trying not to burn a bridge, but he appears to be genuine in his expressed joy for Baltimore. Quite refreshing, indeed.Via The New York Times
