donovan pays' it forward!!!! love it !!! A dozen little girls circled around Donovan McNabb with disposable cameras flashing. ''Take off your sunglasses!'' one commanded. ''What are you, the paparazzi?'' McNabb asked. Grinning, the Philadelphia Eagles' starting quarterback complied. These girls were, after all, 12 of the reasons McNabb chose to spend Father's Day at his summer camp for children with diabetes. ''You look at the fun these kids are having, and you want everyone to have that same opportunity,'' McNabb said. ''I want them to know life isn't over because you have diabetes. You can still play basketball. You can play tennis. You can be whatever it is you strive to be.'' The camp is a personal cause for McNabb. His father, Samuel, has Type 2 diabetes. He also lost his grandmother to complications related to diabetes. About 140 boys and girls, ages 8 to 16, are spending this week at Camp Green Lane in Montgomery County. This week, it's known as the Donovan McNabb Camp for Kids. CLICK 4 more !!!

  • That's the one very cool thing about the Eagles organization. Not only does the team take an active role in the community, so do the star players. Glad to see Donovan doing his part and making a special day for all the kids to remember. Awesome article!
