Redskins Insider:
Tight end Fred Davis has prepared well in anticipation of his first career start Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome, quarterback Jason Campbell said. "Fred definitely has put in the work to get himself ready to go," Campbell said. "You can see he's focused and he knows this is a big opportunity for him. We definitely need him right now." Pro Bowl tight end Chris Cooley underwent surgery for a leg injury he suffered in the last game -- a 27-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles before the bye week -- and is expected to be sidelined at least a few more weeks. He will be examined Monday and more will be known at that time. Cooley's injury opened an opportunity for Davis, who has mostly disappointed since the Redskins selected him in the second round of the 2008 draft.
