With about a week’s worth of camp in the books we’re now dealing with another Miles Austin hamstring issue. He tweaked it, and is being held out as a precaution. If this doesn’t concern you, then somethings wrong with you. Here’s a player who to me, is injury prone. After the draft I wrote a piece saying that the Cowboys not only needed a #3 WR, but just as important, a #4 WR. Why? Miles Austin. He hasn’t even played a preseason game and here we go again. Every training camp he pulls the hamstring and it lingers the WHOLE season, literally.
You want to know why the Cowboys pushed so hard to get Beasley back into camp? Its the depth. Beasley has been the standout thus far, and Radway is right there in the mix again, as is Ogletree. Outside of these three receivers, we are thin, and if Austin’s issue drags through we may have to pick up a veteran guy somewhere down the line.
I said this before and I’ll say it again, if Austin can’t be improved physically under Coach Woicik, then no on...

After injuring his hamstring during practice on Saturday, it looks like Dallas Cowboys Miles Austin is going to miss at least a week.
The team doesn’t feel that the injury is as serious as either of the hamstring pulls that...
OXNARD, Calif. (AP) -- Dallas Cowboys receiver Miles Austin is expected to miss at least a few days with a strained hamstring.
Coach Jason Garrett said Sunday that the team will be cautious with Austin, who missed six games last season because of problems with both hamstrings. The coach said Austin was having a great start to camp, but could be out up to a week even though the team...
In terms of depth at the wide receiver position, the Dallas Cowboys have only two proven guys on their current depth chart. Dez Bryant and injury prone Miles Austin surface out the lone two intriguing pieces to their wide out corps. Then you had Laurent Robinson, who was clearly the Dallas Cowboys best offensive threat last year, go to Jacksonville on a five-year deal...
Here Come the Cowboys!
Know what I hate? Preseason predictions. I hate it when some radio or TV personality takes an NFL team's upcoming schedule and goes week by week, predicting wins and losses.
One reason I hate it is because of how much the face of the NFL changes from year to year. This free agency era is a free-for-all where last year's champ is this year's...
Add another injury to the list of the Dallas Cowboys' problems with Miles Austin since 2009.
In 2009, Austin exploded in a Week 5 game between the Cowboys and the Chiefs. Austin delivered 250 yards of offense and two touchdowns over just ten catches in that game.
Austin finished the 2009 season with 1,320 receiving yards, and 1,239 of those occurred after the first four...
The Dallas Cowboys have released veteran safety Brodney Pool, one of their free-agent pickups earlier this year.
Pool was released Monday along with cornerback Isaac Madison when the Cowboys cleared roster space to sign receiver David Little and running back Javarris Williams.
Before playing the last two years for the New York Jets, Pool began his career with five seasons in Cleveland...
Tony Romo, DeMarco Murray and the Dallas Cowboys wrapped up their first week of training camp with a scrimmage.
The controlled session Sunday came exactly one month before the Cowboys play their season opener Sept. 5 at the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants. About 12,000 fans attended.
With 18 players injured and not playing, the scrimmage was more situational work...
Two days after quitting the team, Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver Cole Beasley changed his mind and was headed back to the team's camp in Oxnard, Calif., on Sunday. The rookie out of Southern Methodist told coach Jason Garrett Friday he wanted to quit football, so he left camp and went back to Dallas. However, he was expected to return Sunday for the team's Blue-White...

According to Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins will likely be out for the entire preseason while he continues to rehab from offseason shoulder surgery.
Dr. Janes Andrews recently checked out Jenkins’ progress and decided that he’s not healthy enough to be cleared for practice. If he misses the preseason, it will...
