The JaMarcus Russell train back to the NFL has slowed down a bit if not derailed in the past few days. Russell has canceled his pro day and instead will focus on trying to secure workouts with teams. There were different reports floating around in regards to the Bears and Cardinals both or mutually having interest in Russell. Both organizations wasted no time in refuting those rumors.  Darren Urban who works for the Cardinals official website reports that the Cardinals have no interested in Russell. Nope. RT @az_armychief: @cardschatter @kentsomers any truth to yahoo sports stating Cards are interested in JaMarcus Russell? Hope not — Darren Urban (@Cardschatter) April 10, 2013 That would definitely make sense with the Cardinals first signing Drew Stanton and then trading for Carson Palmer.  The Bears reportedly have no interest in Russell either according to the Sun Times. Strongly believe the #Bears don’t have any real interest in former Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell. Let it go, fol...

No Pro Day After All For JaMarcus Russell

Bleacher Report NFL Network contacted Test Football Academy, who have been running Russell’s comeback attempt, to see if they could film his scheduled pro day.  They were then told that the pro day wouldn’t be happening on Wednesday as scheduled. It’s fair to assume that perhaps Russell’s camp felt that maybe there wouldn’t be very many teams attending his pro day.  Test...

Raiders work out QBs Troy Smith and Vince Young

The Oakland Raiders acquired Matt Flynn from Seattle but continue to seek viable backups. Currently the Raiders have Terrelle Pryor as the most likely option behind Flynn. The Raiders had recently been linked to Seneca Wallace but opted against giving him a contract. On Wednesday the Raiders worked out Vince Young and Troy Smith. According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport Young “looked...

Report: Raiders re-sign cornerback Joselio Hanson

Reggie McKenzie must have had some sort of wholesale deal for defenders, because the reported signing of cornerback Joselio Hanson would mark the fourth defensive player the Raiders have reached a new agreement with on Tuesday alone.  Hason, 31, will return to the Raiders secondary this season on a one-year deal, according to reports and Hanson himself: Raider Nation I’m Back...

NFL LB Rolando McClain Blames The Devil For His Off The Field Issues

I am not big on excuses. I am not big on using religion, as a reason for your good or bad accomplishments. Sometimes you just have to man up and blame yourself. Not Jesus, Judas, God, Devil or Tebow. But, here is how linebacker Rolando McClain explained his multiple off the field issues, while he was with the Raiders. “As a kid and young adult you make mistakes and I have made...
