While Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb has been able to return to practice in a limited capacity this week, the team has already named QB John Skelton as its starter for this weekend’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Kolb continues to recover from a rib injury he sustained against the Buffalo Bills in Oct. While he was able to return to practice in a limited capacity the past two days, the quarterback is still experiencing swelling in his injured ribs. Beyond Kolb, Calais Campbell was among the players limited at practice Wednesday and Thursday as he continues to recover from a calf injury. Cornerback Greg Toler was limited due to a hamstring injury on Thursday after not being included on the injury report on Wednesday. Wide receiver Andre Roberts and defensive lineman Ronald Talley, who are both dealing with ankle injuries, missed practice for the second day in a row on Thursday. Kevin Kolb still isn’t healthy

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb told Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com that his broken ribs still aren’t completely healed. “A lot of the (slow recovery) goes back to the injury itself,” Kolb said. “The way that my ribs are broken, they aren’t completely healed. “Whenever the cartilage broke, (the ribs) are laying underneath my sternum. That’s how they are trying...

Cards notebook: Kolb likely done for season

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The chances of quarterback Kevin Kolb returning this season for the Arizona Cardinals are looking far less likely. Kolb said Wednesday that he has hit a wall in his rehab process from cracked ribs that detached from his sternum. To be totally honest with you, the last couple weeks when I really try to push it in the weight room and when I really try to push the ball...

Cardinals go back to Skelton at quarterback

TEMPE, Ariz. If timing is everything, then Ken Whisenhunts machinery could use some fine-tuning. When it comes to quarterbacks, the Cardinals coachs internal clock seems a bit off. In the latest turn in the Cardinals 3-year-old quarterback saga, Whisenhunt announced Wednesday that John Skelton will resume his role as the clubs starting quarterback when the club faces Seattle on...

Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb’s Ribs Not Healing Correctly

Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb said his ribs aren’t healing correctly and that such is the reason why he’s missed significant time, according to Darren Urban. “Whenever the cartilage broke, (the ribs) are laying underneath my sternum,” says Kolb. “That’s how they are trying to heal, rather than healing where it’s butted up straight against it like a normal cracked rib, flush...

Cardinals Will Start John Skelton Against Seattle

Mike Jurecki reports that the Cardinals will start John Skelton at quarterback this weekend against the Seattle Seahawks. #Cards starting QB John Skelton this week vs Seattle. — Mike Jurecki (@mikejurecki) December 5, 2012 Given that Ryan Lindley appears to be one of the worst quarterbacks in NFL, this moves makes plenty of sense, even though you could argue that Skelton is also...

John Skelton to start for Cardinals in Week 14

The Ryan Lindley experiment at quarterback is over. John Skelton will start for the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14 at Seattle. Despite the struggles of Lindley, 10-of31 with a interception, the Cardinals never considered allowing Skelton to play in last weeks loss to the New York Jets. Darnell Dockett fined $200k for spit

The Arizona Cardinals have fined Darnell Dockett $200,000 for spitting on teammate Kerry Rhodes and defying coaches' orders during the Cardinals' 7-6 loss to the New York Jets, according to Albert Breer of NFL.com. John Skelton will get start

Let’s face it, Arizona’s single shining moment of QB excellence was between 2005 & 2009, when Kurt Warner was under center. Before and since it has been middling at best and a disaster at worst, with the 2012 season shaping up to be a prime example of the latter. With his team currently mired in an eight-game losing streak after starting the season 4-0, coach Ken Whisenhunt...

Cardinals at Seahawks: Trap Game or Easy Victory?

On paper, tomorrow's Week 14 matchup against the Cardinals looks like an easy victory. Since starting hot at 4-0, the Arizona Cardinals have bumped into a slew of problems on both sides of the ball and slipped into a nightmare scenario, losing their last eight straight. Coach Ken Whishenhunt inexplicably benched QB John Skelton in Week 12 in favor of rookie Ryan Lindley, with...

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks: Week 14 NFL Pick

Arizona Cardinals (4-8) at Seattle Seahawks (7-5) The Seahawks were able to get a rare road win in Chicago last week after face planting in Miami the week before thanks to the road dogs after a road loss trend. This week, it could potentially hurt their ability to win at home because the Cardinals are in that spot. They lost as road dogs in New York against the Jets last week and...
