According to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, Arizona Cardinals left tackle Levi Brown will more than likely hit the free agent market.
Brown is going into the final year of his current contract, but is scheduled to make $17 million in 2012. The Cardinals are working on renegotiating a new deal with him, but it doesn’t look like it will happen.
If Brown does become a free agent, he’ll likely be the best free agent left tackle on the market

Our Russian mail-order Naughty Nurse checks the statistical vital signs of each NFL team. She kicks off the exam by probing the Arizona Cardinals: plenty of excitement in 2011, but plenty of areas to improve, too, in 2012.....
For Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt, the decision to play in the Hall of Fame Game on Aug. 5 was an easy one. But that doesn't mean he isn't aware of the risk involved.
Mike Leach the pirate... Screw up once and walk the plank.
On Saturday our own Victory Bell weighed in on the Sekope Kaufusi dismissal asking the question that very few people even seem willing to consider; Is Mike Leach’s zero tolerance policy a good policy? My answer to that is an unequivocal “no”. In fact I think it is completely senseless and totally at odds with his role...
Mike Jureci of XTRA 910 in Phoenix is reporting the the Arizona Cardinals have no interest in Hines Ward. This was probably the one spot that Ward thought if no one else signs me these guys will. With all the relationships Hines has in Arizona he had to be counting on these guys after the Steelers let him go.
Ward has one other place where I fully expect him to land. I think...
According to Mike Jurecki of Xtra 910 in Phoenix, the Arizona Cardinals aren’t interested in signing wide receiver Hines Ward once he’s officially released from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Cardinals are the first team we would think would be interested in Ward, since Ken Wisenhunt was the Steelers offensive coordinator from 2004-2006.
I can’t be mad at the Cardinals for not...
The Mother ship that is SBNation runs down all the potential free agent wide outs that are now linked to be staying with their old teams. This is not good news for Bears fans hoping for a big WR splash.
Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network has reported that sources close to Vincent Jackson expect him to receive the franchise tag.
Jason LaCanfora has crossed with me and I am not sure if I can just let this one slide. After years of learning to temper my football expectations, I mentally accepted that the monstrous Mario Williams would not play for Atlanta. Williams has been linked to Seattle and New England, but not to Atlanta. The elite pass rusher will likely bring sacks to another team for years....
According to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, the Kansas City Chiefs have placed the franchise tag on wide receiver Dwayne Bowe.
Bowe is clearly the Chiefs best receiver and it was vital for them to make sure they keep him around. Now the goal will be to get him locked up with a long-term contract.
According to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, the Detroit Lions have placed the franchise tag on defensive end Cliff Avril.
Avril was hoping to avoid being tagged, but there was no way the Lions would let him hit the open market as a free agent.
The Lions will now have until July 15th to get a new deal done, or else Avril will be forced to play the 2012 season until the franchise tag.
According to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, the Dallas Cowboys have placed their franchise tag on linebacker Anthony Spencer.
Spencer has been a bit of a disappointment for the Cowboys since he was drafted in the first round of the 2007 draft. But right now he’s the best option they have at outside linebacker and the Cowboys will look to get him signed to a multi-year deal...
According to NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora the Colts plan to hold a press conference on Wednesday March 7th, to announce they will be releasing Peyton Manning making him a free agent immediately after.
