Free agent quarterback Brodie Croyle will sign with the Cardinals later on Tuesday, Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic reports.
Cardinals quarterbacks John Skelton (ankle) and Max Hall (shoulder) are banged up and questionable for Saturday’s preseason game against the San Diego Chargers.
The 28-year-old Croyle was a third-round pick out of Alabama by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2006. Croyle started 10 of the 18 games he appeared in during his five seasons with the Chiefs, completing 56.7 percent of his 319 pass attempts for 1,669 yards with eight touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Croyle spent the last two seasons playing for Chiefs head coach Todd Haley, who was the Cardinals offensive coordinator under Ken Whisenhunt from 2007-08.
