New Orleans Saints guard Carl Nicks really doesn’t believe he’ll be back in the bayou next season. The Saints have yet to make him or his agent any type of offer to remain with the team.
Nicks said that he’d be shocked if anything changes before free agency begins on Tuesday.
“They’re gonna do something in the last four days that they haven’t done in the last four weeks? I really don’t think so,” Nicks said per nola.com.
Nicks’ desire has been to return to the Saints, but since he wants to become the highest paid guard in the NFL, there’s simply no way they can afford to keep him.

Being a Drew Brees target is not good personal business

Saints Nation: Saints Re-Sign Turk McBride to 1 Year Deal
Despite grossly underperforming a year ago, the Saints have decided to bring back defensive end Turk McBride and give him another shot in 2012 with a one year deal.
