New Orleans Saints guard Carl Nicks really doesn’t believe he’ll be back in the bayou next season. The Saints have yet to make him or his agent any type of offer to remain with the team.
Nicks said that he’d be shocked if anything changes before free agency begins on Tuesday.
“They’re gonna do something in the last four days that they haven’t done in the last four weeks? I really don’t think so,” Nicks said per nola.com.
Nicks’ desire has been to return to the Saints, but since he wants to become the highest paid guard in the NFL, there’s simply no way they can afford to keep him.

Mark Teixeira must be a little angry that Sean Payton leased his house for a year and then went and bought this gigantic pad in the Vaquero subdivision in Westlake, Texas. Let this be a lesson, Tex. You didn’t have a disco room in your house. Payton moved a few streets away and now has 7,700 sq. ft. of rock walls, Mediterranean stylings and a room with chalkboard walls.

While Carl Nicks has publicly shouted from the rooftops of New Orleans that he's as good as gone based on the lack of communication he's had with the Saints' brass, Marques Colston has been the exact oppposite, approaching free agency as a complete enigma. When Marques Colston had a surprising rookie season, all that was talked about is how he was drafted in the 7th round and was from Hofstra. He did put up numbers that are reserved for 1st and 2nd rounders. 70 receptions for 1038 yards and 8 TDs. Drew Brees had a surprising 1st year in New Orleans, after all, he had just had shoulder surgery. He wasn’t thought of as being elite...

Despite grossly underperforming a year ago, the Saints have decided to bring back defensive end Turk McBride and give him another shot in 2012 with a one year deal. Larry Holder reported this via twitter. McBride's return along with the restructured deal of Will Smith means the edge rushers likely won't change all that much, with Junior Galette and Cameron Jordan also returning...

The Cowboys have been restructuring contracts like Dez Bryant’s and some others to make room under the cap, in order to land a guy like Nicks.
