Cornerback/kick returner Cassius Vaughn will have surgery Friday in North Carolina to repair the fracture in his lower left fibula.
Vaughn suffered the injury while returning a kickoff 36 yards prior to the Broncos’ first possession at San Diego.
“”I broke a tackle and planted to make a cut and it just snapped,” Vaughn said.
He was placed on season-ending injured reserved Monday. Asked if he was feeling blue, Vaughn said: “”Not at all. I’m going to get this fixed and get back and make sure I’m around for my teammates. I want to be around for this run that we’re on. I’ll be all right.”

Kurt Warner, who was one of the most openly-religious players during his playing days, believes that Tebow's image would improve if he toned down the frequent references to his religion.
As the Broncos have moved toward an option-based run game to help Tim Tebow adjust to his role as the team's starting quarterback, the play-to-play work of the wide receivers has changed some as well.
