It’s almost Turkey Day, ladies and gents, so let’s get right down to business.QUARTERBACKSQuarterbacks continued to pour on the points this week with a whopping EIGHT different signal-callers racking up three or more touchdowns. However, one man stood head and shoulders above the rest-- a man who had more than five times the amount of passing yards and five times the number of TDs he did just a week prior. Allow me to present, Mr. Matt Schaub.QB CHAMP OF THE WEEKMatt Schaub: 527 pass yds, 5 pass TDs, 2 INTsApparently, Matt Schaub looks like this when he's having a great game.Schaub wasn’t the only QB to drastically improve upon his numbers. These two four touchdown quarterbacks are also Week 11 champs:QB CHAMPSChad Henne: 354 pass yds, 4 pass TDs, 7 rush ydsRobert Griffin III: 200 pass yds, 4 pass TDs, 84 rush ydsRG3 had zero touchdowns and completed only 59% of his passes in the Redskins’ prior game. Chad Henne was backing up Blaine Gabbert. It doesn’t get much worse for a quarterback than when you’re the backup to Blaine Gabbert.Since I’m a generous guy, I am giving this week’s QBs who had three touchdowns this past week honorable mentions. You can be thankful for that in two days, Andy Dalton. (Andy Dalton should also be thankful for AJ Green. Very thankful.)Chad Henne's magic mustache can only take him so far.QB HONORABLE MENTIONSTom Brady: 331 pass yds, 3 pass TDsJosh Freeman: 248 pass yds, 3 pass TDs, 2 INTs, 27 rush yds, 2pt. conversionAndy Dalton: 230 pass yds, 2 pass TDs, 13 rush yds, rush TDPeyton Manning: 270 pass yds, 3 pass TDs, INTDrew Brees: 219 pass yds, 3 pass TDsAn additional seven quarterbacks had 2 TDs; having any of these QBs didn’t hurt you: Carson Palmer, Sam Bradford, Philip Rivers, Aaron Rodgers, Andrew Luck, Brandon Weeden, or Colin Kaepernick. I know a lot of you out there started either Brandon Weeden or Colin Kaepernick. That brings us to our QB Chumps. Sadly, these three losers let you down Week 11.QB CHUMPSMatt Ryan, QB, Falcons: 301 pass yds, 5 INTs, -3 rush ydsJoe Flacco: 164 pass yds, -1 rush ydsMatthew Stafford: 266 pass yds, pass TD, 2 INTs, 12 rush yds, fumble lost Interceptions rule!RUNNING BACKSI’m just going to list the three running back “champs” for this week and then we can all take a moment to reflect on the state of fantasy running back play in the NFL.RB CHAMPSLaRod Stephens-Howling: 127 rush yds, rush TD, 6 rec ydsMarcel Reece: 103 rush yds, 90 rec ydsBilal Powell: 42 rush yds, 2 rush TDs, 18 rec ydsEveryone who expected Bilal Powell to be the only running back of the week with two touchdowns smile creepily. Now, there weren’t even many horrific chump-worthy RB performance-- backs were just solidly mediocre. Of course, Reggie Bush had an awful week, but we’re becoming accustomed to that:Reggie Bush: 20 rush yds, 15 rec ydsOrange gloves baffles Reggie Bush. The RB Chump of the Week Award is going to an RB who was supposed to have monster numbers, but ended up failing to reach the end zone for the first time this year.RB CHUMP OF THE WEEKArian Foster: 77 rush yds, 15 rec yds, fumble lostTime to play guess what song Arian Foster is listening to! Anyone?WIDE RECEIVERSOn the other hand, it wasn’t a bad week for wideouts. You had to be the top WR on your team in the Jaguars vs. Texans game to get champ honors, but these three are going to get an honorable mention certificate mailed to their homes:WR HONORABLE MENTIONSTY Hilton: 100 rec yds, 2 rec TDs, 80 return ydsDanario Alexander: 96 rec yds, 2 rec TDsDez Bryant: 145 rec yds, rec TDWe all know who your WR champs for the week were.WR CHAMPSAndre Johnson (CHAMP OF THE WEEK): 273 rec yds, rec TDJustin Blackmon: 236 rec yds, rec TDAs for a wide receiver chump, Jordy Nelson and Miles Austin both had off-weeks, but the choice was easy.Who's the best Johnson in the league-- Andre or Calvin? We'll find out on Thursday.WR CHUMP OF THE WEEKLarry Fitzgerald (CHUMP OF THE WEEK): 11 rec ydsAnnnnnnnnnnd that's his only catch.TIGHT ENDSLast week’s Champs and Chumps was titled “Tight End Time”, because three tight ends, Gronk, Graham, and Greg Olsen, outscored nearly every wide receiver. This week, we only have one TE champ (and he got hurt and will now miss a few weeks).TE CHAMPRob Gronkowski: 137 rec yds, 2 rec TDsThere was no shortage of tight end chumps to choose from this week, but I think I can manage to pick the worst three (even with my simple mind).Gronk smash. Gronk hurt arm. Gronk no need arm. Gronk like to dance.TE CHUMPSAntonio Gates: 17 rec ydsHeath Miller: 22 rec ydsTony Gonzalez: 33 rec ydsTony Gonzalez has a hot wife. Also, Arthur Blank is a gangsta. That's all for now, folks. Have a good Thanksgiving and watch lots of football. It's what the pilgrims would want.Caption contest!
