NFL Injury Report:
While he was able to return to the practice field Friday for
the San Diego Chargers, running back Ryan Matthews is considered a game-time
decision for today’s matchup against the Denver Broncos. There’s a chance
Matthews will suit up for San Diego, but offensive lineman Jared Gaither is
considered doubtful to play due to a groin injury.
Matthews missed practice Wednesday and Thursday due to his
neck injury, but he was able to return in a limited capacity Friday. Coach Norv
Turner said he was encouraged after watching Matthews at practice, and
returning for Friday’s session certainly seems to point that the running back
will be ready to help his team against the Broncos.

A comical event happened near the end of Denver’s 30-23 victory over San Diego on Sunday afternoon.
Down by just one score with time still on the clock (0:17 before the play and 0:08 after the play), Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers walked off the field after being sacked by Denver’s Elvis Dumervil—eliminating any chance of stopping the game clock.
With all of his receivers down...
When the San Diego Chargers lost Vincent Jackson to the Buccaneers in free agency, the team quickly responded with the signing of Robert Meachem. With a history of losing high quality talent to opposing teams, the Chargers knee-jerk reaction of acquiring the former Saints WR got a pity laugh from me back in the off-season.
Fast forward to week 11, Robert Meachem has...
Even the San Diego Chargers are saying it: the Denver Broncos are playing solitaire in the AFC West now.

San Diego tailback Ryan Mathews will get the start Sunday against Denver. Mathews was limited in practice this past week because of a stiff neck.Fantasy Spin:It doesn't appear Mathews will be on a "pitch count" either so fantasy owners can expect him to see his usual workload. Start him as you normally would.

It was an odd sight when the Denver Broncos took to the field in hosting the San Diego Chargers in a key AFC West battle in mid-November. Instead of a somewhat typical November day with cold, possible snow and other inclement weather, the temperature at game time was 62 degrees and sunny. For Denver, they wanted to extend their winning streak to five and take complete control in...
Another great divisional match up for football fans features an AFC West show down in San Diego, where the (4-5) Chargers welcome Peyton Manning and the division leading (6-3) Broncos to town. The first game was an instant classic, where the Broncos came from way behind at the half to steal one at home. Manning trailed 24-0, before scoring 35 unanswered points as they stunned the...
