The San Diego Chargers have joined the group of teams to exercise their fifth-year options on 2011 NFL Draft selections. According to Field Yates of ESPN.com, the Chargers have picked up their team option on defensive tackle Corey Liuget. Liuget was the 18th overall selection of the 2011 NFL Draft. As per terms of the new collective bargaining agreement, all draft picks sign four-year contracts with first-round selections having a team option for a fifth season. For 2011 draft picks, teams have until May 3 to exercise their options for the 2015 season. The option would pay Liuget $6.969 million in 2015, per NFLPA records.
