With so many games that have the potential to be some of the best of the season, the Chicago Bears’ biggest home game of the year is kind of an obvious choice.

When the Green Bay Packers come to town on December 16th it could have huge playoff implications.

Both teams figure to be battling all season long for the NFC North division title and possibly home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

With a new look offense and veteran defense, the Bears have a great shot to unseat the Packers atop the division.

Quarterback Jay Cutler is expected to have his best season in a Bears uniform after the offseason acquisition of old teammate Brandon Marshall. Both players made no secrets about how great it would be to be reunited and in March that came true.

In addition to trading for Marshall, the Bears also drafted wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey. With two new targets to throw to Cutler is poised for a great season.

Aaron Rodgers is at the top of the quarterback class and when he leads the Packers into Chicago in mid-December it could potentially be a battle of two quarterbacks playing their best football.

The tilt between these two teams has all the makings for a classic. It will be cold and windy and both teams are very familiar with each other.

In addition to the usual bragging rights that typically go with this game, the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs could be decided. With only two games left for each team after this one, the winner will probably lock up the NFC North title and be well on their way to a first-round bye in the playoffs.

If I had to pick one home game on the Bears' schedule this season it would be December 26th against the Green Bay Packers.
