Updates with Albert and Newman injuries. Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe left Sunday's game against Cincinnati with a neck injury and left tackle Branden Albert left with a back injury, while Bengals cornerback Terence Newman was sidelined with a concussion.
Bowe was being covered on a deep pass down the sideline when he leaped up, bobbled the ball and then landed hard on the turf at Arrowhead Stadium. He was checked by several trainers on the bench, retreated to the locker room and then re-emerged without his helmet.
Kansas City is already playing without wide receiver Jon Baldwin, who wasn't cleared after sustaining a head and neck injury in last Monday night's loss at Pittsburgh.
Terrance Copper replaced Bowe. Steve Breaston was playing in place of Baldwin.
Albert was hurt early in the third quarter, though it was unclear exactly how he was hurt. He lay flat on the field for several minutes before slowly walking off the field.
The Chiefs were already playing without center Ryan Lilja (knee) and right guard Jon Asamoah (thumb surgery), which shuffled virtually the entire offensive line. Russ Hochstein started at center, Eric Winston slid from right tackle to guard and Donald Stephenson started in his place.
Albert's injury left Winston as the sole offensive lineman remaining who started Week 1.
Newman was diagnosed with a concussion in the third quarter. The Bengals were already playing without safety Reggie Nelson (hamstring) in the defensive backfield.

Chiefs, fans go quietly in loss to Bengals
KANSAS CITY, Mo. The Chiefs, and their fans, seemingly have nothing left to get mad about.

Obviously, Chiefs fans had virtually nothing to cheer about, just two short Ryan...

Change the Story
After another embarrassing home loss by the Kansas City Chiefs that featured a lackluster crowd wearing more black than red in the stands, I’m ready to give in to the fact that all the blame for the teams 1-9 record can’t be placed at the feet of General Manager, Scott Pioli.
