There weren't exactly a whole lot of fireworks, but Kansas City managed a hard-fought 7-3 win on the road in Denver.
Kyle Orton had 180 yards and no TDs passing, while the Chiefs only score came on a Dexter McCluster run. He finished with 61 yards rushing and the score. Dwayne Bowe was off to a great start, with 93 yards receiving on 6 catches, but had to leave shortly before halftime due to a probable concussion.

As has been brought to light today, Tebow’s fellow quarterbacks fined him for not speaking out against the ads. In principle this is agreeable. Tebow, [...]
It’s a rare NFL Sunday when the late-afternoon slate is more attractive than the early games, but this week’s schedule is back-loaded with games fraught with playoff implications. Perhaps the most intriguing is the Chiefs’ opportunity to prevent the Broncos from capturing the AFC West. Former Bronco quarterback Kyle Orton returns in hopes of exacting Kill Bill-level revenge...
Tim Tebow has always done things the unorthodox way. Making the playoffs was no different.
He fell short in his latest comeback bid, yet his Denver Broncos are still going to the playoffs.

So the last "Blitz" of the season is also the first of the new year.
Maybe the Chiefs feel that way, too, having watched the AFC West division title slip to the toothless Broncos.
If that doesn't make you want to start working toward next season, then nothing will.
This week, we'll be looking at the Denver game specifically, but also how it represented the Chiefs...
The 2011 NFL season has seen some great plays. This could be a top 10, maybe even top 25 list, but I’ve narrowed it down to five. These are the five best plays we’ve seen this season.
