One day removed from one of the worst losses in franchise history, the Chiefs received yet another blow this morning, with the news that safety Eric Berry will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network first broke the story. Berry started all 16 games in his rookie season last year, earning a nod to the Pro Bowl, and giving the Chiefs leadership and tenacity in their defensive backfield, two things they haven’t had for quite some time. Berry suffered the injury after returning from leg cramps early in the game, with wide receiver Stevie Johnson of the Bills delivering a legal, but low and dangerous, block to the back of Berry’s legs, taking him out of a play in the first quarter. ©2011 NFL News & Rumors.
