The Chiefs placed cornerback Jacques Reeves on injured reserve Tuesday, opening a roster spot.

Reeves, 5 feet 11 and 188 pounds, was inactive for Sunday’s game in New Orleans because of a hamstring injury. He started the Chiefs’ opener against Atlanta in place of Brandon Flowers, but was a reserve for the Chiefs’ second game at Buffalo once Flowers returned from an injury.

Reeves made four tackles in the opener. He has six career interceptions, but none this season.

Ready or not, Chiefs' Lilja takes center stage

KANSAS CITY, Mo. The last time Chiefs guard Ryan Lilja had to play center in an NFL game before last Sunday was...well...never. In fact, Lilja, who now becomes the Chiefs' starting center because of Rodney Hudson's season-ending injury, can't remember playing the position in college or high school or even Pee Wee football, for that matter. OK, there was that one time...

Chiefs RB Peyton Hillis In Walking Boot Monday

Kansas City Chiefs running back Peyton Hillis was seen in a walking boot due to an ankle injury Monday. He only saw three carries before exiting the game. Chiefs Sign Free Agent OG/C Russ Hochstein

The Kansas City Chiefs and veteran G/C Russ Hochstein have agreed to terms on a one-year contract, an NFL source told TheSidelineView.com. Hochstein (6-4, 305) is in his 12th...

Chiefs C Rodney Huson Done For The Year After Breaking His Leg

The Chiefs received more injury information Wednesday and, as they have come to expect, it was news they wish they didn’t have to hear. This time, it was a broken leg for starting center Rodney Hudson, who is finished for the season. Hudson will become the fifth Chiefs regular to miss at least one game on Sunday when the Chiefs play against the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium. He...

NFL Week 3: Vanderjacked Kansas City Style

Week 3 is over and the only thing you hear about is the replacement refs but the only guys that really matter are the kickers! The “Mess in Miami” is something that was not Vanderjacked worthy. Dan Carpenter missed two field goals, including one in overtime. Carpenter was only 2-4 on the day and certainly must take the brunt of the boos on this one. Of course not much went right...

Chargers-Chiefs Preview

Nothing went right for the Kansas City Chiefs in their first two games while little could have gone better for the San Diego Chargers. Week 3 was a considerably different story. The Chiefs look to build off their stunning comeback victory Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium, where the Chargers are hoping to bounce back from an ugly no-show. San Diego's early season struggles were...
