The Kansas City Chiefs have placed former first-round pick Glenn Dorsey on IR, according to a league source. Dorsey has likely played his last game for the team with his season now over. The former fifth overall pick (2008) displayed great pass rushing ability in college at LSU and transitioned to end for the Chiefs. Though he has yet to reach his potential, he could be an intriguing prospect on the free-agent market. The sides are not working on an extension and he would be one of the younger linemen available on the open market. Source: CBS Sports Attached Thumbnails

Chiefs penalized for excessive celebration on touchdown that didn’t count

The 1-7 Kansas City Chiefs were penalized in their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night for excessive celebration on a touchdown that didn’t end up counting. I didn’t even know that was possible. The Steelers had a third-and-seven play from their 26 during the third quarter when backup quarterback Byron Leftwich had the ball knocked out of his hand. Linebacker...

Out of Bounds: Marty Ball Part 2?

Will former Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach, Marty Schottenheimer, join the organization in an advisory capacity? Or will Team Owner, Clark Hunt, maintain the status quo for one more season?

Steve Breaston is a Healthy Scratch

Wide receiver Steve Breaston is a healthy scratch for Monday Night Football vs. Pittsburgh. Fantasy Spin: Breaston is a healthy inactive for the first time this season, and has fallen behind Devon Wylie on the Chiefs depth chart at receiver.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Brady Quinn is inactive for Monday night's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the second straight game he will miss due to a concussion. Matt Cassel will start for the Chiefs and Ricky Stanzi will be the backup. Wide receiver Steve Breaston is also inactive for Kansas City. The Steelers made safety Troy Polamalu inactive for the fifth straight...

Backfield clarity only place Chiefs edge Steelers

In a season during which very little has gone right for the Kansas City Chiefs this season, running back Jamaal Charles is the exception. A year removed from a knee injury that limited him to just two games, Charles is ninth in the NFL in rushing and perhaps the only reliable weapon the struggling Chiefs (1-7) have on offense heading into Monday night's game against surging...

Monday Night Football Drinking Game Week 10: Kansas City Chiefs at Pittsburgh Steelers

Welcome back, drinking game fans. My apologies for taking last week off. I have no good excuses, so I will ask you to accept this video of a chimpanzee riding a Segway as a token of my regret and a thank you for you returning this week.   Wasn’t that awesome? Now, when we last talked we were prepping for the 49ers to beat down the Cardinals, and they followed through nicely....

Monday Night Football: Kansas City Chiefs at Pittsburgh Steelers Preview and Prediction

Before playing five games within the division to end the season, the Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Pittsburgh. The Chiefs are tied with the Jaguars for the fewest wins in the NFL this season, with one. The Steelers are holding onto the last playoff spot in the AFC, so this game is a must-win for them if they intend to make the playoffs. Mike Tomlin and...

Fantasy Football Week 10 Preview: Chiefs at Steelers

Kansas City: Ugly ugly ugly… and no, I’m not just talking about Romeo Crennel’s chances of being a head coach after this season, or even Scott Pioli’s chances of not being run out of town on a rail before 2013 kicks off. No, I’m just talking about the Chiefs’ chance of actually having anything useful fantasy-wise during a visit to Pittsburgh. The Steelers are playing...

Kansas City Chiefs at Pittsburgh Steelers: Week 10 NFL Pick

Kansas City Chiefs (1-7) at Pittsburgh Steelers (5-3) The Chiefs have yet to lead in regulation through 8 games, the first time a team has done that since 1929 and that team folded after the season. Actually, they were also the first team to do that through 7 games since 1929 as well. However, they aren’t the worst team in the NFL. They don’t rank dead last in either rate of...

MNF – Kansas City Chiefs vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Unless you are a fan of either team, or need you need your kicker to win your fantasy week like me – there isn’t much to watch in this dud of a Monday nighter to conclude week 10. I was big on the Chiefs this year, and wrote off last season due to their injuries. They run the ball well, and have above average talent on defence, and a big target at WR in Dwayne Bowe. I solely...

Week 10: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Kansas City Chiefs Preview

Yet another prime time game with the Kansas City Chiefs. Why do these keep happening? At least Tyler Palko won’t be involved in this one. There really isn’t much to this game at all. The Pittsburgh Steelers are beginning to hit their stride and are riding a three game win streak. The Chiefs are just [...] [[ This is a content summary only.
