There was a running joke among Chiefs fans about Dustin Colquitt for a few years before Jamaal Charles emerged as the one of the best running backs in the NFL, before Dwayne Bowe took his place among the most dynamic and dangerous wide receivers, before Matt Cassel threw 27 touchdowns and only seven interceptions on his way to a surprising AFC West title last year. But like all good jokes, there was more than a nugget of truth when the Chiefs faithful would dub Colquitt as the team's MVP.
