The Colts remained winless Sunday, taking a 17-point lead late in the first half before losing 28-24 to Kansas City at Lucas Oil Stadium. The injury-plagued Colts (0-5) looked as if they might win their first game behind quarterback Curtis Painter, who was making his second NFL start. The Colts took a 24-7 lead with 1:15 left in the first half after Delone Carter's 3-yard run but the Chiefs (2-3) answered with a touchdown before halftime --- Steve Breaston's 16-yard reception, which made the score 24-14. Kansas City quarterback Matt Cassel threw for four touchdowns in the game --- two to Breaston and two to Dwayne Bowe.
