While the Kansas City Chiefs are denying the rumors, it’s been reported by Nick Wright of 610-AM in Houston that the club has officially told general manager Scott Pioli and head coach Romeo Crennel that they will not be back for the 2013 season. From a more than reliable source: Scott Pioli and Romeo Crennel have officially been told they will NOT be back next year. #Chiefs — nick wright (@getnickwright) December 19, 2012 A league source told Pro Football Talk that Pioli and Crennel have yet to be told of their fate, but it appears where there’s smoke, there’s fire on this one. And Pioli and Crennel appear to be headed to that fire following the season. The Chiefs are experiencing what some would consider the worst season in franchise history, as they currently sport a 2-12 record. While it hasn’t become official yet, you can expect that heads will roll following this embarrassing campaign. A similar situation is going on elsewhere in the AFC West, as Norv Turner and A.J. Smith are likely counting down their final days with the San Diego Chargers. Chiefs Intend To Fire HC Romeo Crennel & GM Scott After The Season?

Chiefs' Crennel focused on finishing trying year

Romeo Crennel isn't worrying about his future with the Kansas City Chiefs. The veteran coach says he's focused solely on trying to pluck off a win or two down the stretch in what has turned out to be a season of misery for the Chiefs. Not only is the team 2-12, but it's also had to deal with a murder-suicide involving one of its players. Crennel has been in the business...

Dwayne Bowe’s days in Kansas City are likely over

According to Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star, it looks like Chefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe will be playing for another team in 2013. His time with the Chiefs could be finished as well, though that is far from a sure thing. His contract, the one-year deal worth $9.5 million that he signed this season as the Chiefs’ franchise player, is up when the season is through. The Chiefs...

Dwyane Bowe Unlikely To Be Back In KC Next Year?

Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star writes that WR Dwayne Bowe is unlikely to reach a long-term agreement with the Chiefs in the weeks to come, which is a pretty good indication that his time in Kansas City is probably coming to an end. Kansas City Chiefs: Week 16 NFL Power Rankings (#32)

Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs: Week 16 NFL Pick

Indianapolis Colts (9-5) at Kansas City Chiefs (2-12) The Colts lost to the Texans last week and still only have one impressive win on their schedule and by impressive win I mean a win over a playoff team or a blowout of a bad team.
