The Kansas City Chiefs announced Tuesday that that have released both wide receiver Steve Breaston and tight end Kevin Boss. Breaston was supposed to be a good fit with the team as he was with the Arizona Cardinals. However, things just didn't pan out after the Chiefs gave him a 5-year, $23 million deal in 2011. That year, he had 61 catches for 785 yards, but there was a big drop off in 2012 after being phased out of the offense, with only 7 catches for 74 yards. While Breaston will likley land on his feet, while TE Kevin Boss' future remains uncertain. The former Giant and Raider suffered a concussion in their second game and missed the rest of the season. In six NFL seasons, he played in 74 games (58 starts), with 150 receptions for 2,033 yards and 22 TDs. var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
