The Kansas City Chiefs hired Green Bay director of college scouting John Dorsey to be the team's general manager. The Chiefs made the announcement at halftime of Saturday night's NFC playoff game between the Packers and San Francisco 49ers. They plan to hold a news conference on Monday introducing Dorsey. Dorsey joined the Packers in 1991 as a college and served as the Packers' scouting director since 1998 except for one year when he was the Seattle Seahawks' director of player personnel. Dorsey also played linebacker for Green Bay in the 1980s. Dorsey, 52, replaces Scott Pioli, who held the job for four years before the Chiefs and Pioli parted ways after a dismal 2-14 season in 2012. A week ago, the Chiefs named Andy Reid as their new head coach.
