Former Minnesota Vikings safety Husain Abdullah took the entire year off last season to focus on obligations to his muslim faith, speaking at mosques across the country, and make the pilgrimage to Mecca with his brother and fellow safety Hamza.
Abdullah, 6', 204 lbs, turned down a contract offer from Minnesota fater being with the team from 2008 to 2011.
The Chiefs had reportedly worked him out last month.
The product out of Washington State started in 24 games with the Vikings, but suffered three concussions throughout that span.
