Aaron Wilson of Profootball.scout.com reports the Kansas City Chiefs have signed second-round rookie offensive tackle Jeff Allen to a four-year contract, according to a league source with knowledge of the deal. Allen was drafted 44th overall. The 6-foot-4, 306-pounder was a starting left tackle for the Illini for four seasons.

And although many eyes are centered on KC’s first round selection Dontari Poe, and the rest of the Chiefs marquee rookies, this weekend was about finding a diamond in the rough more than evaluating draft picks.
